My maiden venture......wish me luck!!!

My first attempt at blogging and sharing my thoughts with such a wide audience. I start with my first blog today and hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I hope to enjoy writing this :)

Few days back I finished reading
Daddy (Danielle Steele). It was recommended to me, ages ago ( I do not even remember who the person was), but I could never find a copy till recently. Thanks to the Book Fair, from where i got a decent number of books :).

The novel was not so great, very much in line with what you would or at least I would expect out of any Danielle Steele. But it left me thinking about the life of many women who are either forced to or at times even voluntarily agree to walk down a path that they had not planned for themselves. Is it true of most of us, who put aside our dreams, aspirations, careers, etc to raise a perfect family and make sure everything is in place. And once our children grow up and go away....then what??? I somehow do not feel that each one of us has the courage to do what Sarah did by following her dreams. I always wonder and this book got me thinking more about how to achieve the perfect balance between family and career. And in the first place, is there a perfect balance at all?

However I do feel that, with the right man in your life who understands, respects and trusts you it is possible finding the balance does become much more simpler.

This blog is dedicated to all the ladies out there trying to achieve this balance and trying to keep track of all their dreams. You rock!!!

Thank you Ms Pande for inspiring me to start my blog and thank you to my husband for giving it a cute name :)

Finally went through your blog in detail...Somehow I have had very restricted access to net since you started writing and I always thought that I would read your posts in peace! Welcome to the blogging world (very timely!!)
I might have recommended Daddy to you since it is one of the two Danielle Steel books I have liked (the other one is Promise). I have always felt empathy for Sarah and think about her character a lot of times but have never been able to blame the husband (Tom? Mike?). guess this is one of the problems to which each has to find her own solution.....

@Dips - Thank you for being there to raed them. You were my inspiration after all :)
Yeah i agree with you about Sarah, and I yes I also would not blame anyone. She had to do what she had to do, and he what he.
I am quite a feminist at times you knw :)
